Did we call Hunter, or didn't we?
If today's Republican press conference sounded familiar to you... it should
Afternoon, all. Signing on to respond to today’s presser on the Biden Crime Family.
First: Our Hunter Biden Scorecard, published here, anticipated the facts of the case so accurately (and without the benefit of subpoena power!) that it’s a little surreal. Congrats to our own Chris Flanagan for putting together such a perfect roadmap — a week ago.
(Note the date, as it appears over at opsdesk.org):

I’m also going to re-post the Hunter podcast that lays all this out. You’ll hear the contours of the case against the Bidens in greater detail there — including the astounding story of Hunter appearing to profit from the sale of U.S. Strategic Oil Reserves to… the Chinese.
A friend said to me last night, “I used to feel like a conspiracy theorist. I don’t any longer.”
Yup.
Where Are The Charges?
Can I ask a simple question: What did all these companies that Hunter formed actually do? Did they make anything? Build anything? Provide a service beyond influence-peddling?
The disgrace of the investigations into the Biden rackets is that, still, nobody has been charged. The case against Hunter has been ongoing in Delaware for three years, minimum. (As opposed to the federal George Santos case, which wrapped up quite rapidly, wouldn’t you say?).
Now word leaks that, as we noted in our Scorecard, the only charges he faces are some light tax stuff, and lying on a gun application.
That’s it? Seriously, DOJ?
And we’re supposed to trust you now?
In light of the facts as they are being reported, Hunter and his associates should be looked at for violations of:
The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA): Violated when someone offers to pay a foreign official for the purpose of obtaining business.
The Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA): Which requires agents of foreign powers to register as such here in America.
Federal Money Laundering: Which occurs when a person engages in financial activity using the proceeds of “specified” crimes. The list of specified crimes is long; suffice to say, Hunter’s activities likely touch on at least one (see here).
Wire Fraud, Mail Fraud, Bank Fraud: The “catchall” charges often used in federal financial cases. Wire fraud occurs when a person uses telecommunications in a scheme to defraud. Same for the mails. Bank Fraud could occur, in this context, through the apparent effort to circumvent reporting requirements on the Bidens’ movement of money — particularly efforts to hide the money’s origins.
Tax Charges: Well, Hunter is facing two of these charges in Delaware, one of which is a misdemeanor. Very, very weak tea. These should be heavy charges, not weak bs used as a cover-up.
Wait — maybe Alvin Bragg will look into all this? Since he’s so committed to the rule of law? And could likely gain jurisdiction through the Manhattan banks?
You didn’t think I was serious, did you?
Where Is The Investigation?
Quite clearly, if the Republicans had not won the House, no meaningful investigation of the Bidens would even have occurred.
Which is incredible, in light of the materials found on the Hunter Biden laptop (which is sort of the mothership for the Biden Family RICO).
How is it possible that the FBI had the laptop for a year before the repair shop owner brought it forward?
And how is it possible that the head of the FBI Cyber unit, in March of last year, still did not know where the laptop was even located in FBI custody? And that he “didn’t have any information about the Hunter Biden laptop” at that point?
Again: Really, DOJ?
Merrick Garland was almost appointed to SCOTUS. Instead, we got Neil Gorsuch for Scalia’s old seat.
Talk about dodging a bullet.
It’s Not Just DOJ
The revelations about the CIA’s involvement in protecting the Bidens also defy belief.
It’s now apparent that not only did former CIA Acting Director Mike Morell cajole four other former Directors into signing the infamous “Russian disinformation” letter — as did 46 other “intelligence professionals” — but the CIA’s own “Prepublication Classification Review Board” (PCRB) approved Morell’s letter in record time.
The PCRB is notoriously slow — approvals normally take months, even years. After promising the signatories that he would get approval for publication of the letter to provide Joe Biden with “a campaign talking point,” Morell got his PCRB approval — in one day.
Even a fellow CIA Chief of Europe, Marc Polymeropoulos, was amazed by that. “You have some juice,” he texted.
“With the PRB [PCRB]?” asks Morell.
“Yes, ha,” replies Polymeropoulos.
“Ha is right,” texted Morell. “They are probably scared I am coming back.”
Morell was widely rumored to be getting the appointment for CIA Director under a Biden presidency.
As my buddy said: I used to be a conspiracy theorist….
Smoking Gun Department
From an email obtained from Hunter’s laptop, in which he laments to his daughter about how he has been treated unfairly his whole life: “"I've been supporting this family for 30 years, but unlike pop, I'm not gonna ask you to kick back half your salary.”
Maybe “pop” and “the big guy” are one and the same?
Who is this mystery man??
Maybe Even Worse Than Buttigieg
As of six months ago, our take on Mayorkas, DHS Secretary, was that he was “setting a new standard” on failure.
He may have topped himself with today’s press conference.
But whatever your feelings about the border and Secretary Mayorkas, just remember this.
At a September 2021 press conference, Mayorkas supported President Biden’s contention that border agents on horseback “whipped” Haitian migrants.
Folks, this simply never happened.
But worse: Emails revealed late last year showed that Mayorkas knew at the time that the claim was false.
No wonder his own agents hate him.
By pretty much any metric, this guy’s a disgrace.
