So during Kamala Harris’s interview with Brett Baier on Fox News last week, Kamala Harris was immediately asked about the Biden Administration’s border policy. She pointed to the fact that one of the first steps the Biden Administration took was to introduce the US Citizen Act of 2021.
The what?
Quite frankly, that was news to me. I had forgotten about the bill. Because it went nowhere. It got no support in Congress and stayed in the House Committee.
Now, the Administration knew that it would go nowhere. It’s sponsor in the Senate was Bob Menendez who indicted … err indicated (Freudian slip) that passing the bill would be a “herculean task”. In other words, this was just a box-check so they could say they tried.
Harris naturally blamed Trump for killing the bill (she spent a lot of time blaming Trump during the interview). They also blamed Trump for killing the more recent “bi-partisan border bill” – the Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 as well. Personally, I was glad the recent bill went nowhere. It was going to memorialize Biden’s bad policies and make matters worse.
The 2021 bill I was not familiar with. Let’s take a look at its contents:
For starters the bill is 353 pages long. That is a lot of reading for the special people we have in Congress (Exhibit A: AOC). By contrast, the 1924 immigration bill was 17 pages.
One of the touted points was to increase the number of immigration judges by “not fewer than 55.” At the time of the bill there were about 600 judges. And there is a 3 million case backlog. That would reduce the caseload from 5,000 cases to about 4,500 cases per judge. Both are unmanageable to the point of absurdity, but more judges would be a move in the right direction. But hey, preventing new entries wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
The bill would also increase protections for asylum seekers. Just what we need. False asylum claims are what many believe drives the explosion in illegal immigration.
The bill moved away from Trump’s wall and proposed technology-based alerts. A recent story about border camera systems found that a third of them were broken. So much for that idea.
No Biden/Harris bill would be complete without a DEI component. This bill increased the number of diversity immigrants allowed entry by 45%.
The bill also allowed for more “paths to citizenship” for people who are already in the country. This would include the DACA eligibles, people who worked in the agriculture industry, or people who left a country in turmoil. No doubt more people would flock here illegally, knowing that they might have a chance for a green card.
The bill would also have created processing centers (these were created anyway) in South American countries that flew prospective immigrants into the United States. Nice, we bring the border to you to save you the walk.
And finally, $4 billion in aid to foreign countries to stop the “root causes” of immigration. Here’s a tip -– stop processing fraudulent asylum claims and handing out free stuff. That might fight the “root causes”.
What Harris failed to mention is that on the same day that this bill was introduced to Congress, the Biden-Harris Administration also took some other actions on immigration. They re-instated the controversial DACA program, they overturned the travel ban on immigration from terror-aligned countries like Iran (and see the Shawn Moran podcast for more on that), and they eliminated Trump’s executive order banning federal grants to sanctuary cities and prioritizing the deportation of criminals.
These moves were literally designed to make the flood of illegal immigration worse.
Yet we are expected to believe that Kamala Harris will work for a secure border.
Right. And COVID came from a wet market in Wuhan, not the epidemiology center coincidentally located there. And the laptop is a Russian op. Oh — and Trump is a Russian asset. And Joe Biden is perfectly coherent….
Need we go on?
The Best Border Podcast — Period
Think we’re kidding? In our second interview with former Border Patrol union VP, CBP Agent Shawn Moran, we discover that
Five members of a foreign intelligence service tried to cross the border. Their identities pinged in federal databases at a level even Shawn had never before seen;
The migrant cartels have their own intel services — who track CBP movements and weaknesses;
That CBP personnel has never seen DHS Secretary Mayorkas at the border — not once. Was this typical? (hint: take a guess…).
What tactic does Mayorkas use to attempt to keep CBP officers quiet about his nonfeasance?
Why is Mayorkas guilty of allowing perps who KILLED two Border Patrol officers out of jail?
What percentage of CBP officers will resign if Kamala wins? (hint: double figures).
This publication values expertise. Forget what you hear elsewhere. Agent Shawn Moran has forgotten more about the border than most “experts” elsewhere will ever know.
And what he knows about the Biden/Harris administration is frightening.

Enlightening post, as always. If there was some way you could add pictures to your posts, people on BOTH sides of the aisle could understand the basic concepts.

As a Senate watcher (and veteran), I was completely unaware of the US Citizen Act. I'm glad it was a box-checking enterprise and nothing more. The real reason the oft-touted Lankford-Murphy immigration bill was tanked was that no one seriously believed the Biden-Harris Administration would enforce or implement much, if any, of it, especially the "authorization" of funds to complete "the wall." It would have simultaneously given cover to open-border Democrats to reduce the heat from the immigration issue, quite falsely - "Oh, look, we did something."
