So as we head into Tuesday night’s debate, there’s been no shortage of commentary on where the two candidates stand. At this point, it’s hard to see how any sentient human being can equate the two when it comes to safety and security issues.
Whatever your opinion on him, Trump has a solid record there — from his securing of the southern border to his support of the task forces that targeted MS-13 to his opposition to the defund movement.
As far as Kamala goes: we’ve all heard it. She supported defunding; she supported the Freedom Fund that bailed out the Summer 2020 rioters; for the last two years she and her husband have donated to a group supportive of permanent sanctuary city status for Washington, D.C; she picked Tim Walz, who fiddled while Minneapolis burned, and whose wife left the window open so as to enjoy the burning smell; and as the “Root Cause Tsar” for the border, Kamala visited the place exactly once, in a highly choreographed visit where she apparently learned nothing.
We could go on — her record on the issues that this space covers speaks for itself. But is there something else?
There is.
The so-called “CHNV” program — that is, the Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venzezuela program — was suspended early last month due to rampant fraud. Under this program, migrants get preferential consideration for status in America (there was unconfirmed reporting some months ago, in fact, that it was under this program that the accused killer of Laken Riley, Jose Ibarra, entered the country).
At the time of its suspension, DHS said that the program was flying 30,000 migrants a month into the U.S. Yes, flying — we were picking them up there and flying them here.
For whatever reason, this lunatic program was reinstated last month. In other words, all while Kamala is serving as VP and, technically still our “Root Cause Border Tsar.”
Now, let’s examine the claim that all the fraud has gone away, and that these migrants are properly vetted:
Cuba is a communist nation that does not cooperate with us. Haiti is currently governed (literally) by criminal gangs. Nicaragua is run by a socialist dictator, Daniel Ortega, who despises America and has railed against us for decades.
And Venezuela? Home of Tren de Aragua? Well, El Presidente Maduro is currently under U.S. indictment by the DEA. That should be a clue as to how cooperative he is.
Let’s be clear: NO ONE is being vetted.
So: if ONE PERCENT of the 30,000 a month of unvetted migrants being flown into America is comprised of criminals released from the prisons of just these nations, we are by definition flying in 300 criminals a month — and moving them primarily to urban areas already overburdened by migrants, homelessness, rising crime, fentanyl addiction, and a host of other blue city maladies.
Is this going anywhere good? Ask the residents of NYC, Chicago, Houston, L.A., Aurora, and, oh year, Springfield, Ohio (even if their migrants are not actually eating the park ducks).
And so when the Dems tell you that border encounters are down? They’re likely not lying. They probably are down — by about 30,000 a month.
Now, don’t expect Kamala to bring any of this up. But one hopes that Donald Trump will. Rather than just invoke “the border,” with no specifics, the fact that this program continues as Kamala advocates for a “path to citizenship” for illegals speaks for itself.
Trump would be better off letting the facts speak for him, rather than getting into a name-calling contest with her. He has a record on safety; she doesn’t.
Let that record do the talking. And give Americans 30,000 reasons to vote against her.

This Elon guy? He seems pretty sharp.
Major Questions Surround The Georgia School Shooting
Another school shooting… another set mysteries. This one has some major questions that we’re not hearing anywhere else….
The Tyreek Hill Incident
So as the media jumps with both feet — and the typical preconceptions — onto the Tyreek Hill car stop incident in Miami, here’s the important bodycam footage. You can judge for yourself.
Some salient points to consider, however, as we are barraged with the reportage:
Car stops are very tense encounters — and are generally within the top two most dangerous police situations;
Hill was obnoxious, but that is not a crime, and cops are paid to deal with the obnoxious and entitled of the world;
Hill’s non-compliance regarding rolling up his darkly tinted window could have raised safety concerns for the officers;
The speed at which he was traveling — and the depth of his window-tint — make the notion that the cops could see his race before stopping him totally impossible (see for yourself, it’s at the 33-second mark of the above video, as the car flies by on the screen’s left side);
While asking him to exit the car is legitmate under the circumstances, pulling him out when it appears he might’ve been exiting already is going to be questioned;
There were three cops there, which will also raise the question as to whether cuffing him and putting him on the ground was necessary;
Cuffing him and putting him on the ground is, legally, an arrest;
The car that stops, blocking off two lanes of highway, so that the driver (a teammate?) can observe, didn’t help matters and was summonsable — but again, cops are expected to de-escalate, not escalate;
Do not enter the scene of a police incident, something that the teammate who approaches with his hands up should know. That said, this teammate does appear to back off;
The statement put out by the Miami Dolphins is a masterpiece of pandering and racial arson, and all-but says that but for the fact that Tareek plays pro ball, the cops would like to have shot Hill. Irresponsible, disgusting, and unworthy of a professional team;
The media is, or course, playing its role to the hilt, racializing the incident to the fullest without knowing the race of the cops and the full circumstances of the stop. Expect it to continue;
Finally, I would add only this: in my NYPD days, supervising the bodyworn camera unit, we found that well-over 90% of the time, the bodycam footage backed up the cop’s account. Which is why the police union, at first so opposed to bodycam footage, ultimately came to support the cameras;
In the end, none of this would’ve happened if Hill had just taken the summons, behaved like an adult, and gone off to play the game; and if the the main cop in the incident — who appears to be hispanic — had behaved more professionally and not let Hill get in his head.
Lastly, a prediction: Look for Kamala to leverage the event at some point in Tuesday’s debate.
Pandering is easier than policy.
NYPD Blues
Folks, to put it delicately: What on God’s green earth is going on in New York City? Is anyone in our government not under investigation?
The writers’ in this space are hearing all sorts of rumors, theories, projections, etc. But let’s remember something: As of now, none of these public officials has actually been arrested.
There is, however, this: When the feds executed the operation to take something like a dozen phones simultaneously from members of the NYPD — including that of the Police Commissioner — as well as the phones of several of Mayor Adams’ cronies, they did it all at once.
(NYPD Police Commissioner Edward Caban — rumored to be stepping down any day)
Now, you do it that way so that none of your targets can alert other targets that the seizure is coming; that way, no phones end up mysteriously at the bottom of the Hudson.
But understand how much work that represents. Such an operation means surveillance teams, so that each target can be located at game time; voluminous legal work to gain probable cause for search warrants on all the phones; a command center set up on game day so that all this is coordinated; significant paperwork to track intake of the phones so that the chain-of-evidence is maintained; etc, etc.
(NYC Mayor Adams — reportedly the target of at least two federal investigations)
In short: a TON of work.
Does anyone really think the feds went to all that trouble if they weren’t building to a major takedown?
And finally….
A public service announcement!

I haven’t found one yet myself… but I know people who have!
In the meantime friends… stay safe.
