Great analysis of the issue as always. When the Congressional investigators are engaged, they should not take anything done before them at face value. Redundancy is good. They must interview ALL of the USSS people involved at the scene. Individually, they should explain what was done right , wrong, and could have been done better. Don't emphasize who screwed up, but rather why they screwed up. Investigators should not stop with just the people in the field on the detail, but also the administrative people in HQ who know the USSS politics behind the scenes. One thing I noticed while watching the subsequent convention coverage inside the venue. All the Special Agents doing security were male. I don't think that was my accident.
Trump was, and is a huge political threat to the current USSS power structure. The USSS tradition is that the incoming President appoints a new USSS Director. I sort of get the idea that the current boss would not like to go to the Hill and request additional emergency funding to increase Trump protection. It would sort of like the mice lobbying for more nutritious food for the cat, if you get what I mean.
On Sunday, I said almost all of these conclusions, and suggested for a fast, accountable and transparent investigation where the American people could follow along as the data developed. I also said I had no hope it would happened, and after a too long period of time nothing more than a strongly worded memo would be issued by Republicans and that no heads will roll.
I’m very interested in watching this unfold since I think we will be able to use this investigations/action plan/accountability as a clue to how the next few years will play out in any effort to reform government. I don’t hold out much hope, prove me wrong, Republicans…
I think the parents are cooperating, so it likely wouldn't have looked like a raid.... More a thorough search. But the delay in briefing the public is inexcusable
Does anyone know if the hearings that start on the 22nd will be televised? If so, what platform?
Paul, please somehow get this to those investigsting in Congress and to President Trump. I've not heard anyone else provide
some of these procedural steps to take to insure the truth is ascertained.
Respectfully, Alice Frantz, Ph.D.
Paul,

Keep up the great work.
It’s like I’ve found a long lost brother in Paul.

I haven't see a raid on the shooters house yet. Just the press knocking on the door and the dad peeking out. What's the delay?
