Chris, my favorite car chase ever. And Hollywood has never produced a star who embodied "cool" like Steve McQueen... before or since. I forgot all about this movie! I'm gonna watch this weekend.
This means we'll probably have to break out the Dirty Harry set behind it. You're a troublemaker, Chris.
Paul, we recently watched The War Lover and my impression was that McQueen was not really acting but just participating with amusement in the project. Certainly not on our watch it again list but along with Robert Wagner an interesting evening in front of the fire.
I gotta give it to you that Bullitt was excellent along with the chase scene but Dirty Harry was top notch due to the franchise. My take for the favorite chase scene was Poppy Doyal in the French Connection .
Plus, Popeye was old New York! Tough to beat those 1970's New York flicks.... City was a dump but made a great set. I liked the Paul Newman Fort Apache also.
Fort Apache when Paul Newman had a ☘️ Shamrock printed on the front of his body armor. So I went to the local mall to the T-shirt shop and had the shamrock ☘️ printed on the front and a Superman logo printed on the back of my point blank armor cover.
Another great Weekend Buff. Thank you, Chris.
