a super rare and hard to find film was / is 'People AGAINST O HARA ', , WITH SPENCER TRACY . I .SAW IT ONCE IN THE 70s AND STILL REMEMBER IT, ......BUT, WHEN U TRY TO BUY IT , THEY GIVE U SONG AND DANCE ABT A COPYRIGHT LITIGATION ETC, "0 SO U CANNOT HAVE IT, MR CUSTOMER " , , , ADMITTEDLY I HAVE NOT RE- ATTEMPTED IN A DECADE , SO WHO KNOWS ? THE BOOK IS ALSO EXCELLENT . SIMILAR TO 'THE VERDICT' IN THAT THE 'DOWN AND OUT' LAWYER IS THE MAIN PROTAG AND HE TRIES A GOOD CASE DESPITE HIS PERSONAL FAILINGS, ETC., THATS ALL I REMEMBER . . . THE DATE OF THE FILM WAS 1950 OR 51. MY OPIN. re : BEST PART OF 'THE VERDICT' ? . . . NEWMAN GOES OFF on THE JUDGE, screaming: " WE ALL NOW UR A DEFENDANT'S JUDGE, , , ( POUNDS TABLE ) YOU HAVE A L W A Y S BEEN A DEFENDANT'S JUDGE ! "
